At Coastal Hospice, our goal is to provide palliative care that addresses the physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of service for the terminally ill as an integrated whole. Each patient that comes to Coastal Hospice receives quality unique care along with exceptional medical care. We take care of everything for our patients and families: from our caring emotional support to our patients and families, to requests such as tidying up around the house and going to the local grocery store for snacks.
Above all, we know how important it is to be cared for with compassion and dignity. We focus on quality care and education for our patients and families. At the center of Coastal Hospice is our dedicated and caring professional health care staff. From our group of diverse professionals, we use a team approach called an Interdiscplinary Group that focuses on delivering quality care to our patients and their families. Our team is available 24 hours per day, seven days a week and we work closely with the patient’s primary physician.
On our staff we have board certified physicians along with nurses to meet our patient’s individual medical needs. Our certified nursing assistants provide outstanding personal care, such as bathing, assisting with meals and even light housework. The mental and spriritual needs are provided by our therapists, counselors, and clergy for our patients. They also provide emotional support to the patient’s families and caregivers.
Our social workers help with all the issues that surround a terminal illness such as filing insurance or even obtaining meals. A special part of Coastal Hospice is our volunteers who devote their time and effort to brighten our patients and families days. They can relieve the primary family caregiver so that they can have time for themselves. They offer help in simple tasks such as reading or even helping with yard work.
The special quality care that we provide is affordable to everyone. We believe that everyone deserves a better quality of life even if it is limited. The Medicare and Medicaid Hospice Benefit covers everything related to a terminal illness with no deductibles or co-insurance which means no out-of-pocket expenses. The cost of medications, equipment and supplies related to the primary illness is covered for the qualified patient. This also includes the cost of our caring and compassionate team of professionals.
Please remember that time is essential when caring for terminally ill loved ones. Call Coastal Hospice Care as soon as you think it is necessary. As soon as the patient is enrolled, the patient and family will start receiving the benefits and this will greatly affect the comfort and peace of mind for the patient and family. Coastal Hospice will be there to help you through this difficult time. Our services will be the best choice you could make not only for your loved one, and also yourself, the caregiver.
