At Coastal Hospice, we believe that good communication with the attending physician will deliver better care for out patients. We have a number of publications that are beneficial for physicians. We have current guidelines from CMS that assists the physician in determining when hospice is appropriate. We also publish a monthly newsletter for physicians with current information on hospice care. We value suggestions from physicians to improve our mission in the community. Coastal Hospice has innovative care programs for certain patient groups.

Hospice Guidelines for Physicians This informative publication contains information from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) about when to admit a patient to hospice care. It contains the most current guidelines on Adult Failure to Thrive, Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Heart Disease, HIV Disease, Liver Disease, Pulmonary Disease, Renal Disease and Stroke.
